£35,244 to £41,464 per annum

Please note this vacancy is available as a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity for maternity cover for up to 12 Months. This role will be filled on a hybrid basis with an expectation to attend the office and regional events, as required, to support collaboration and service requirements. More specific details about this can be discussed at the interview stage should you be invited to interview. Please note interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 19th December 2024.

The Opportunity

Sustainable Growth is focused on delivering a Sustainable and Inclusive Economy whilst providing important inputs into the environment, supporting our children and families, and promoting health, care, and wellbeing for all ages.
The Sustainable Growth Delivery Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the objectives of the Sustainable Growth directorate. This role enables the smooth running of the service by supporting the Sustainable Growth Delivery Manager with operational business processes, monthly performance reporting, presentation materials and political briefings.
Experienced in being highly planned and organised to ensure delivery stays on track, this role also requires a flexible approach from an individual that enjoys variety and thrives on being able to deliver high quality work for senior leaders, often to short deadlines.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for working across the Sustainable Growth directorate to support efficient decision-making processes to enable the delivery of the service's strategic priorities
- Works closely with the Sustainable Growth Senior Leadership, Delivery Leads and the Sustainable Growth Delivery Manager to monitor progress against service delivery plans and produce accurate monthly management information, progress and performance reports for leadership and Portfolio holders
- Liaises with the ECC Business Intelligence team to reflect Sustainable Growth performance metrics within Functional and Corporate reporting
- Works closely with the Sustainable Growth Delivery Manager to develop the Directorate Delivery Plan and support the corporate business planning processes for the service
- Works effectively with content leads to develop presentation materials, briefing notes and ad hoc reports for senior officers and Portfolio Holders as required
- Supports senior leadership with the design, development and implementation of SG employee Away Days and recognition events
- Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework
The Experience You Will Bring
- Educated to A level or equivalent by extensive experience
- Experience and evidence of involvement in managing projects and tracking performance progress
- Experience of working with a broad range of individuals at different levels within the organisation and engaging with them, finding ways to overcome obstacles
- Keen to engage with others and learn from them
- Good planning and organising skills, determination to meet challenging deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI is an advantage
