Job Details
Hyndburn is an attractive area set in the heart of Pennine Lancashire and it’s a great place to work. Over recent years we have established an impressive reputation as a Council with a strong sense of direction and an enviable record for improving services and getting things done. We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead our busy and dedicated Licensing Team.
We are looking for an experienced individual who is committed to delivering a high quality service that balances integrity, public safety and high levels of customer care. You will have a detailed knowledge of licensing law and procedure, the ability to quickly build appropriate relationships with the trade, our elected members and partner agencies, and a desire to deliver and drive best practice
This role will involve:
• Maintaining the day to day operation of an effective and efficient Licensing service
• Keeping Policies and Procedures up to date in terms of compliance and best practice
• Ensuring enforcement activity is effective
• Maintaining and developing good working relationships with those we license, as well as with partner agencies such as the police, VOSA and the DVLA
• Keeping public safety and safeguarding as top priority
If you are passionate about delivering results as we are, and if you want a job where you can be part of a team that’s making a real difference, we’d like to hear from you.
