Sandwell Adult Social Care is looking for 5 experienced and passionate Senior Occupational Therapists to join our Therapy team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our service and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults in Sandwell.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will manage a caseload of complex cases, supervise junior staff, and support service users to achieve their goals of independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of complex cases, providing specialised assessments and interventions.
  • Supervise and support junior Occupational Therapists and students, ensuring high standards of practice.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and service users.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.
  • Conduct manual handling risk assessments and provide recommendations for specialist equipment and adaptations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current HCPC registration.
  • Experienced in adult social care, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing complex cases and providing advanced clinical assessments.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
